WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION TO CREATE MUSIC?

I am very interested in all kinds of arts, especially visual arts and literature. I strongly believe that the different kinds of arts can’t be separated from each other, but on the contrary they are inspiring each other. Together with my wife, pianist Izabella Simon, we are artistic directors of “kamara.hu,” an international chamber music festival at the Liszt Academy, which has every year a literary theme, a great novel. Last year we had Dokotor Faustus by Thomas Mann. Here we can express how near we feel literature to music, how interesting it is to combine them in a concert program. Also, I go quite often to exhibitions all over the world. I particularly like Italian painters of the Renaissance and the French Impressionists.

DESCRIBE A ROUTINE YOU HAVE IN PLACE THAT HELPS YOU LIVE A HEALTHIER LIFE.

I practice yoga regularly. That is very important for me and a great help. I also like table tennis and occasionally running. I am quite careful about what I eat, and try to have good quality food, no dairy and gluten.

WHAT IS ONE SPECIFIC PRODUCT YOU HIGHLY RECOMMEND?

I would recommend some nice Hungarian wine, especially from Tokaj or Villány.
