5 things to know about Anderson & Roe

1. Where They Met
Anderson & Roe met in 2002 as freshmen at The Juilliard School, forming their musical partnership shortly after. They also attended Pianofest in the Hamptons together over one summer before teaming up to become such a legendary duo.
2. Critically-Acclaimed Albums
Their critically-acclaimed albums have spent dozens of weeks at the top of the Billboard Classical Charts. Album titles include Mother, Rite of Spring, The Art of Bach, An Amadeus Affair, When Worlds Fade, and Reimagine.
3. Where They’ve Traveled
The duo has performed around the world, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Estonia, Romania, Israel, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand and most major US cities. They have performed at some of the most notable recitals and concert halls, including nearly every New York City venue imaginable, the Gilmore, Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, the Mostly Mozart and Styriarte Festivals, and dozens of summer chamber music festivals. They’ve collaborated with and appeared with the orchestras of San Francisco, Vancouver, Rochester, Liverpool, Calgary, and Boulder, among others, and with members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
4. Their Accomplishments
Anderson & Roe have accomplished what others can only dream of, with Emmy-nominated videos with millions of views and chart-topping albums. One of their live performances was hand-picked for the Sounds of Juilliard album celebrating the school’s centennial year. They’ve also captured the attention of MTV, PBS, NPR, APM, and the BBC, as well as Pianist Magazine, and the Huffington Post.
5. Their Mission
The duo believes in music’s potential to communicate messages with others and diffuse joy around the world. Their mission is to “make classical music a relevant and powerful force in society.”
