Sharing meaningful music and life changing moments!

During this time when many of us have hours of quiet time, we wish to share meaningful music with you all. We remember life-changing moments we have witnessed at recitals with our incredible SOLO artists. Music captures every human emotion and will continue to be an eternal source of joy for us; it is music’s job. With this in mind, we have found poignant music from past artists who have graced our stage and want you to indulge in their art once again.

Conrad Tao performs music by Bach, Carter, Debussy, and Tao from his Facebook page. We hope that listening to this recital brings a moment of light to you. Our dear PPI Family, you mean the world to us.

We are all in this together, and Bach unites us. Alongside Conrad's interpretation of this eternal composer, we wish to share with you Daniil Trifonov's Bach-inspired artistry as part of Deutsche Grammophon's World Piano Day virtual festival on March 28. He was joined in the festival by Maria João Pires, Evgeny Kissin, Seong-Jin Cho, among many other beloved names. It is so beautiful to see pianists come together and we hope this lifts your spirits, our dear community.

Timing is very much on our mind at this moment. As we contemplate the seasons, we turn towards the music of Fanny Mendelssohn. Olga Kern performs two short pieces from Fanny Mendelssohn's 12-part piano suite, Das Jahr (The Year). These were recorded earlier this year at the Greene Space for WQXR's International Women's Day celebration concert. We hope that you all still find space to enjoy spring's flower blossoms during this difficult time.

How are you all doing? Send a note or call if you have time. You are never far from our thoughts, dear friends.
