PIANIST ROMAN RABINOVICH TO PERFORM TWO CONCERTS OF MUSICAL FANTASY AND RUSSIAN MODERNISM

PORTLAND, OR – On May 6th and 7th, acclaimed pianist Roman Rabinovich will take the stage at Lincoln Hall for two unforgettable concerts of musical exploration. Hailed by The New York Times as a performer "with uncommon sensitivity and feeling," Rabinovich will showcase his remarkable artistry through a diverse repertoire spanning five centuries.

On Saturday, May 6th at 4:00 PM, Rabinovich will present a program exploring the theme of fantasy and reverie in classical music. From the playful improvisation of Couperin's unmeasured prelude to the exuberant energy of Schubert's Wanderer Fantasy and Rabinovich's own Sonatina, composed during the lockdowns of 2020, the performance promises to be a journey into the limitless possibilities of musical imagination.

The following day, Sunday, May 7th at 4:00 PM, Rabinovich will enchant audiences with some of the most astonishing works of Russian modernism. The program will feature Medtner's Sonata-reminescenza, Stravinsky's Piano Sonata, and Shostakovich's 24 Preludes, each showcasing the deep wells of expression made possible by the piano and Rabinovich's highly sensitive artistry.

Roman Rabinovich is a pianist of international renown, having performed at venues including Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, London’s Wigmore Hall, and the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, among many others. He has appeared with orchestras around the world and collaborated with conductors such as Zubin Mehta and Gerard Schwarz. Rabinovich is also a visual artist and composer.

Don't miss the opportunity to experience the virtuosity of Roman Rabinovich in these two unforgettable concerts. Tickets are available now at portlandpiano.org/live.
