Composer and conductor David Schiff will introduce the film, titled "A Labyrinth of Time." David is an authority on Carter, having written extensively about Carter's life and work. His book The Music of Elliott Carter was originally published in 1983 and a second edition was published in 1998. Davis is currently writing his book Elliott Carter, Master Musician for Oxford University Press.
