Who are Rising Stars?

These are up-and-coming pianists who are selected by Artistic Director Arnaldo Cohen from universities and conservatories around the world.

These young artists will perform multiple recitals across Oregon. Launched in January 2015, this program expands the reach of Portland Piano International to communities outside of the Portland Metro area.

Each recital lasts approximately one hour.

What should I expect?

These are relaxed recitals, often held in more intimate settings. The performers will speak directly to the audience and introduce their pieces.

Each artist will also be available for Q&A following the recital. Bring some questions and engage with these remarkable young musicians!

Children are welcome, but adults should let them know that it is important to be quiet during the performance.

Portland Piano International thanks the generous sponsors who have made the Rising Star series possible:

ESCO Foundation

Jackson Foundation
