Jason Schooler

For over 20 years Jason has been an active orchestral and chamber musician, performing with the West Virginia Symphony, the Dayton Philharmonic, the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, 3rd Angle New Music Ensemble, 45th Parallel, Classical Up Close, Lewis and Clark Chamber Players, the Oregon Bach Festival, and the Oregon Symphony. 

Mr. Schooler is also an active teacher, having his own private teaching studio and holding music faculty positions at Lewis and Clark College, University of Portland, and Concordia University. He has also been involved as a music instructor with Portland Youth Philharmonic, Metropolitan Youth Symphony, Chamber Music Camp of Portland, and many Portland area schools. 

Jason holds a music performance and music education degree from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. Currently, Mr. Schooler performs on an Abraham Prescott double bass with the Dearborn and Sons label, made c. 1850. Jason and his wife, Cymbrie, have four children: Noah, Anya, Hope and Sarah.
